The Original Maxwell Street Station

'Maxwell on 76th'

I was driving down Ashland looking for the 81st and Pulaski Maxwell -- for some reason I thought it was 81st and Ashland. First I came across the #1 bogus Maxwell @ 87th and Ashland: this place has a red awning (that aint gonna fly) and it actually says that they 'serve breakfast'. What the fuck?!?!?!

Well anyways I was driving north on Ashland and just thought how the 81st and Ashland didn't even exist (it doesnt, its on Pulaski) when I came across this one. I was going to try and just snap a pic of the place from the street as I was stopped at a red light as it seemed to hood for me. But I was super hungry, and I could see inside -- there was only 1 person in there (you can actully see him in the pic above!). I reversed a little bit and pulled a wild turn into the place. They had 2 cooks and a useless cunt working the register...my food was ready quick as it should be but that bitch was taking someone elses order and it was all fucked up. The one cook took my money and gave me my change. I think this place is cheaper then most: $3.75 for pork chop sandwich with fries and a bottle of water, cant be beat. The pork chop sandwich tasted authentic and I ate it while driving (dangerous, not recomended) and the fries seemed authentic too. This place is pretty tight.

Another odd thing about this place was that they gave me ketchup and salt packets in the bag! Condiments are pretty much unacceptable to me (except for mustard and onions!!), but the thought was nice.
