Alright.\u00a0 Well, its been a week since this show.\u00a0 I should have written this the day after the show but oh well.\u00a0 I’m a professional crastinator.\u00a0 (is that spelled right?)<\/div>\n

Well, we left for Rockford around 5:30.\u00a0 We got there right around 7.\u00a0 So Rob and I go in and meet Andy and he takes us to the room where we will be playing.\u00a0 There is no stage or anything.\u00a0 Just a big room.\u00a0 There is a big piece of black fabric hanging against a wall as like a backdrop.\u00a0 There r lights set up and a PA and a sound board and thats about it.\u00a0 We meet Kent, the sound man.\u00a0 Both him and Andy r real nice to us.\u00a0 They say we r playing 2nd out of 5 total “acts”.\u00a0 That was kinda strange to hear.\u00a0 So we go get Eric and drive around the side to unload.\u00a0 So more people get there but we don’t know who they r or what bands they r in.\u00a0 I was pretty anti social then for whatever reason.\u00a0 So we wait and wait around till 8.\u00a0 The first band starts their set.\u00a0 They r called Spencer Park.\u00a0 They r a 4-piece.\u00a0 1 guitar, bass, drums and a singer who played keyboards on like the first 3 songs.\u00a0 They were very poppy but rocked.\u00a0 The words were about love and nature and feelings and emotions and stuff like that so I couldn’t get too into it.\u00a0 I just wanted to hear\u00a0 the keyboards rip.\u00a0 So we set up to play next.\u00a0 Of course we smoked up before our playing.\u00a0 Our set was something like this:<\/div>\n

We fucking rocked the house.\u00a0 People cheered very loudly and it was a blast.\u00a0 We didn’t know anybody which made it even better.\u00a0 The lights were very hot and blinding and u couldn’t see anybody’s face.\u00a0 That kinda sucks.\u00a0 So then after us a band called the Fightbacks played.\u00a0 They play very noisey hardcore.\u00a0 They were great.\u00a0 I dig that noiscore shit.<\/div>\n
The three of us all sat outside and talked to the people who were all hanging out.\u00a0 There were a bunch of Rockford chicks that were around so it was interesting to say the least.\u00a0 Eric was all excited to go eat at the Ground Round restaurant so he called them on his cell to see what time they closed.\u00a0 It was like 10:45 by that time.\u00a0 The fourth “act” was on by then who was just a guy who played guitar and sang.\u00a0 Eric and I talked with him earlier that night and he made his guitar case out of wood and he did the felt on the inside and everything.\u00a0 It was pretty odd.\u00a0 So we left to go eat.\u00a0 The waiter at the restaurant was fucking cool.\u00a0 He took a picture of us sitting at the table.\u00a0 So we chowed.\u00a0 Eric really fucking chowed.\u00a0 The waiter had to give him a bib so he didn’t slob all over himself.\u00a0 Fucking hysterical.\u00a0 So we leave.\u00a0 About an hour into the drive, Eric is very antsy and squirming around.\u00a0 We’ve beeen singing Cash Money lyrics the whole way home and now hes quiet and gripping the handle in the truck and moving around a bunch.\u00a0 So he yells that I have to pull over and hes in pain and has to take a shit and can’t hold it any longer.\u00a0 It was funny as fuck to Rob and I but I can’t imagine what Eric was going thru.\u00a0 So after about 15 minutes of him clenching his ass cheeks closed we get to an expressway Oasis.\u00a0 He runs in and goes to rid his body of the steak, chicken and shrimp quesadillas he just ate.\u00a0 Rob and I kept laughing about it.\u00a0 It was pretty funny to us.\u00a0 I felt bad though cause he was in such excruciating pain and said he almost shit his pants.\u00a0 There was tons of construction so I couldn’t pull over.\u00a0 He said he would have taken a shit on the side of the road and wiped with newspaper or whatver if he had to.\u00a0 Luckily I drive fast and we were close to that Oasis.\u00a0 So thats about it.<\/div>\n
We left the Divine Cup without really saying goodbye to anyone.\u00a0 We didn’t ask to get paid.\u00a0 We just asked for directions to the Ground Round and we were on our way.<\/div>\n
