This is a night club which on Sunday's has punk rock shows. It is a very classy place and one which it is great fun to play. Charles from Ratbag Hero runs the place and is another class act amongst a scene full of phonies and bullshitters. It was great fun to play this club as I was coming down from a 48 hour bender when I played there. I felt like shit but was rejuvinated by the great people and bands which surrounded me. Definately the top 3 if not my favorite all time place to play.

This place kicks ass so much I can't even begin to count the ways:

1) Peach Stoli and Red Bull
2) 3 free drinks
3) Subdued/relaxing atmosphere/lighting
4) Awesome bartender
5) Great DJ
6) Bruce Lee movies
7) Not in a shitty neighboorhood
8) THREE 24 hour mexican places within 1 block

Unbelieveable. I can't get enough of this place.

The final Bigwig show will be on September 20th. I will long mourn the passing of this great venue and even longer treasure the good times that occured within its walls.

Girls Need Attention are another band that played the BigWig....they had this footage on their site labeled as something like 'chris was locked in the back room at bigwig". well of course thats impossible, since you could just go out into the alley and back around again. but the video does provide a glipse of the club (at least the back room, so its worth it for that alone. enjoy.
