Erik Hilger, from the Wood Dale shop, enjoys an unusual hobby: he belongs to a 'punk rock' band. Erik, who plays bass and sings lead and back-up vocals, formed the band with his high-school classmate, Eric Williams (guitar, vocals) and his friend, Rob Tarpey (drums).
The band plays songs written by themselves, as well as some covers of other bands, at local clubs. Erik descibes the music as "energetic, fast and aggressive, but lyrically positive". They have been together for 2 1/2 years. Erik's goal is to "make a lot of music". Fame and fortune are secondary to expressing himself and having fun.
