1922 -- Walter S. Mander is born in Germany
At the age of 18 he left for America
In 1940 he took a job shoveling sawdust
But only two years later, he was drafted into the army

Verse 2:
1946 -- At the age of 24, Walter returned to Chicago
It was then that he became involved with the meat
He worked very hard and saved his money
He became a minority stock holder at Lincoln Meat Company
