Before I had this, I only had one guitar: my Fender Strat. I saw an add for a Jackson that Guitar Center was selling for like $175. I decided to throw down the cash and I went to Guitar Center. In a 'bait-and-switch' maneuver typical of the place, they were 'all out'. But, the salesman was kind enough to introduce me to this beautiful insturment.
It is a Jackson Dinky Reverse Performer Series PS-4. It has the double locking Floyd Rose tremelo (which all 4 of my Jackson's have). It has a Humbucker-Single Coil-Humbucker pickup configuration. I keep it strapped to my body with a DiMarzio locking strap (I swear by these things, its physically impossible for them to come off).
Somewhere along the line, the pickups started to go. I played a few too many times and I think that I sweat into the pickups themselves. The outside metal parts of them were actaully rusted. So I fired in an EMG-81 active humbucker (my Kramer also has one). Those pickups fucking scream. You could be playing out of a 5-watt practice amp and the harmonics leap off the fingerboard. The other humbucker and single coils are still in the guitar but disconected. I put the EMG-81 in the bridge position.
This is probably my number 1 guitar. It only needs to be tuned(then locked down) like once every couple of weeks. It rarely breaks strings and it sounds great.
