Crate GX-80

I have owned the same goddamn amp as long as I've been in Low Profile, therefore -- as long as I've played guitar. I bought it off of Mario Cascio, who is a cool guy but always has had drug problems. I'm sure he sold this and bought some junk with the money. I only paid $100. It has 2 channels, built in distortion which is great. It sounds awesome and I never need to use a pedal. I had a foot pedal to switch channels with but it broke mysteriously in like 1999. It wasn't until 2006 that I decided to buy another one, which I got off ebay for like $15. I customized it with the silver grate, which is actually a disposable piece of super heavy duty tin foil like material, which you are supposed to put on your grill when you cook fish or something that might fall between the bars. It even rattles a little bit, which adds to its wild sound. I actually took the whole front of the amp apart to bolt it on properly, I didn't just screw it onto the front. Its edges are actually under the side panels.
Its only 80 watts with one 12" speaker but its loud as fuck, I've never turned it to even half way that I can remember at any gig ever. ITs played the vast majority of shows we've ever done and the majority of studio sessions as well. I've never even really considered replacing it, its served me very well.
I also bought this awesome amp stand for it in 2005. Its super heavy duty and even on its lowest setting elevates teh amp to a perfect level, like 1 1/2' off the ground. It makes a big difference and I love it, got it from Musician's Friend for only like $25.
