Takemine G-Series Electric/Acoustic

The background on this guitar requires the background on the 1st acoustic I ever owned. I bought my first acoustic off a local bitch I used to have suck on my dick sometimes. It was made by Aria, I bought it from her used with a gig bag for $70. But someone had smashed it on the headstock, chipping a chunk of wood out and more importantly bashing one of the tuners. The screw was gone so the tuner was hanging out. I got another screw but it wasn't the right size so i shimmed some wood from a toothpick in there and screwed it in -- worked great for like 5 years after that!

Now fast forward to the Fall of '05. I got together with Low Profile founder Matt Brieske to do an all acoustic side project gig. You can read about that shit here. Well when we started to reherse for that show in his basement I brought along the Aria of course. Well his acoustic was an electric acoustic (a dope Martin that cost like $1000, which was actually not his, it was his girlfriend at the time's). So we would mic the Aria which was OK but then I noticed this Takeimene sitting in the corner. I asked about it. He told me a story of some dude from his hood who he ran into in a bar. HE said the guy was giving him mad props for being a musician and said how he had a guitar but how he sucked and never played. He asked if Matt wanted to 'have' the guitar. Matt wasn't sure what to say and the conversation drifted. But like a month later Matt ran into him in a bar again and the guy had the thing in his trunk, waiting to see MAtt so he could 'give' it to him. I put 'give' in quotes becuase Matt was never clear on whether he was borrowing it or what. Anyways, I started using the Takemine since it was a way nicer guitar and you could plug it in. We played the gig and it was awesome. Afterwards I basically took the thing hostage. I knew Matt didn't need it and it wasn't really his anyways. My brother wanted a guitar for his b-day so I gave him the Aria and kept the Takimene for myself and I've had it to this day. Its a real nice guitar, probably cost about $300 new.
