So I had something like $700 and went to the Guitar Center on Halsted because I knew this dude named Jose who was a manager there. He gave us a show at that Guitar Center and promised to give me a good deal. So I chilled in the G.C for over an hour playing all the different basses and didn't know what I wanted still. It seemed that the guitars for around $600-800 were alright but the ones for over a thousand just blew them away. So I started thinking that I should just get the Guitar Center credit card and get a better bass. So I mentioned that to Jose and he took me in the expensive bass room where there r crazy Warwicks and Ernie Balls and the expensive Fenders and he started talking about those guitars and I was sold. They had like 15 different Ernie Ball basses so i got to choose the color, neck style and everything. I could have even mixed and matched and special ordered a bass direct from Ernie Ball but I would have spent even more. So I picked the green one u see in the picture. I think its beautiful. It plays awesome. It feels awesome. The wood in the neck is awesome and makes it easy to play and very comfortable. I love it. I lay around hugging it and holding it. When I go out of town for work, I miss it and can't wait to pick it up when I get home. Its crazy. I have such a bond with it.
So it was like $1100 and Jose hooked me up and I got it for $900. I got a free strap, picks and strings with it. I had an Ernie Ball case ordered but they never called me so I guess they never got it or lost my ticket or whatever so I still don't have an official case for it. It shares a case with the Fender bass. They switch. One chills on a stand and one chills in the case. I wish Ernie Ball would sponser me and give me free shit. I've always played Ernie Ball bass strings and I sport their shirts with their logo on it. Now they need to hook me up with like 5 basses for free that r all different colors and shit. Now that would be awesome. In my dreams of course.
I've used this bass in the studio and played it at many shows.
